Personality[]
In the Books[]
Cullyn was once a cavalryman in the service of the Gwerbret of Cerrmor. In a fight over a woman, he killed one of his comrades. Spared from execution, he was dismissed from his lord's service, and was forced to become a Silver Dagger. Cullyn is renowned as the greatest swordsman in the kingdom: his daughter says he can cut a falling apple into quarters with his sword.
Cullyn fought alongside Rhodry Maelwaedd against rebels who wished Rhodry dead, after which Rhodry took Cullyn into his service, making him the captain of his warband. Cullyn died in the interval between the end of The Dragon Revenant and the beginning of A Time of Exile.
